So, a deal couldn't be reached on one of the new Mazda 6's or 3's....but we were able to do one on the outgoing 3. Not a manual, but perfect for us otherwise, the manuals are becoming scarce hereabouts and tbh my MSP has enough manual epicness for any family. So, we bid the Dart goodbye, and added a new member to the family.

Note: there was nothing wrong with the Dart, besides our dissatisfaction with the dealer experience, but when you can get a better car for the same price with a better warranty.....well duh.

I do not understand why the tiptronic gears on this Mazda are ass backwards. Shifting up means shifting down. Shifting down means shifting up. Der.

Do like the 3 wagon though. Nice console layout and driver position.

If you live in northern climes where they use road salt, just make sure you rustproof the shit out of it, or plan to sell it on at the 3-5 year mark.

I've been there. Most banks will finance up to 130 percent of the value of the car. Some will go to 135 percent but that's rare and your credit must be insanely good.

Oh well. We knew going in that a deal would be hard with what we still owed on the Dart, and after talking to 6 other dealers of various makes, these guys went above and beyond to get us exactly the deal we wanted with no typical dealer bs. Good folks.

We have had the Dart for over a year and a half, 20k miles. It never had the options we wanted, the dealer and service experience were both supremely shitty, and we both were tired of paying 428 bucks a month for a car we didn't really love. The car itself was great, a clear cut above most domestics, and I'm sure the srt4 version will be a screamer when it comes, it just wasn't for us. I would recommend it, but make sure you get what you want, rather than what te dealer has. And then buy Madness' tuning box and crank it up to 200bhp.
